(More customer reviews)Once this item arrvied at my house it was damaged. I didn't even want to know what the process was going to be to fix that issue, nor did I want to wait for another one. So, it definitely took two people to put it together. I have never encountered a piece of furniture that was so hard to put together. If you are not careful moving the parts around the surface scratches VERY easily! Totally not worth your time or money.

From South Shore Furniture's Skyline Collection, this attractive TV stand, with its straight lines, simple form, and smoky chocolate finish, blends without effort into modern and contemporary living room interiors. The 19-1/4 inch high TV stand's length best accommodates a 42-inch screen television. South Shore crafted the TV stand out of strong laminated engineered wood and recycled fibers. A slightly recessed rectangular podium elevates the stand from the floor and ensures sturdy support. Two open storage compartments below the stand's surface provide space for other entertainment system components, from a DVD player, digital conversion box, or a small stereo system for surround sound. Black Onyx/Charcoal TV Stand Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this to replace an extremely crappy, flimsy stand that I had ordered previously, it was so bad that I didn't want to take the chance of it falling apart. (You can find my review of it elsewhere through my profile.) This one, as soon as I touched the box, I could tell was going to be another experience entirely.
It only cost about 20 dollars more, and was quite a bit smaller, but the whole package was much heavier. Once I got everything out of the box I could see that for the most part it was pressed wood. The top and bottom boards however are completely solid wood, adding to its weight and sturdiness. The rest of it is indeed pressed wood as you might expect, but unlike almost every other assemble-yourself furniture piece I've put together in the last ten years, everything in this kit fit properly without coaxing, or wood glue added to the mix. Fully assembled it doesn't wobble, the doors don't squeak, and it holds up the 150 pound weight of a 29 inch CRT monitor perfectly. I suppose you might find a lot fancier furniture assemblies out there but I think this one looks extremely classy with its simple form. I ordered the South Shore Double Dresser to go with it in the same room so the decor matches, but it's definitely the build quality and sturdiness that sold me on their products overall, highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)This TV stand is a good size and holds the weight of my 55" TV, which is hard to find for something in this price range. It was a little bit difficult to put together, but not too bad. The directions are not the easiest thing to follow or maybe it was because there were a lot of parts, but anyway, it only took me about 2 hours to put it together. I wanted something with compartments for storage, but also with an open space for the cable box. This was perfect!

The credenza is well built and my family loves the way the TV looks on it. It fits all our components and game sytems. We are all happy with it. It was a great price for such a well-built unit.

Furinno Entertainment Center -Steam Beech Finish, 99966R1 Review

I also went ahead and bought the coffee table that goes with it.
The price is very cheap on amazon but if you go to the website of Furinno they charge $299 for this and $299 for the coffee table and the coffee table only cost on amazon $29.00 at the moment.
I am 25 and I put this together so it's very easy.
The only thing that I will say negative about this they did not do a good job at all with the packaging.
1 part of this was very damaged.
I tried to get a replacement part but I was so happy to get the TV off the floor.. that I decided to just keep it since I only paid $41 for this & amazon told me to send the whole stand back.
Tomorrow the coffee table ships I am a little worried how they packaged that.
For the price I paid this is a nice TV stand.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product based on the price and the previous reviews for other products offered by this company. I have to say, it was impossible to put together. It uses wooden pegs to hold each piece, which dont fit into the proper holes and needed to be hammered in, with force. The product was also a lot smaller than I had imagined. This is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. I would suggest purchasing a different item.

(More customer reviews)Suffered through the horrible 100+ degrees of Louisiana summer and now see the light of day that fall is soon to arrive. Fall ALWAYS makes me want to redecorate but sometimes the lack of money makes it impossible. So, I browsed many sites for reasonable priced furniture for guest rooms that grandaughter and grandson will use when here for holidays. I stumbled across the South Shore furniture and was quite skeptical. I had to convince myself that for that little bit of money, I was getting a semi-quality product and one that was not a horrible experience to put together. Well, let me tell you, I ordered 5 pieces and so far have put together 3, one of which was the South Shore Step One Collection TV Stand in chocolate. Oh my.....what a gorgeous piece of furniture!!!! and easy, easy, easy to put together. I then put together the two other pieces and am in heaven because this furniture is fantastic. I had read reviews from others, some good, some bad. I am fully onboard with the positive side of this company and this particular collection. If you have needs similar to mine and are trying to remodel without breaking the bank DO NOT HESITATE to purchase this furniture. Add to the mix that purchasing from Amazon is a win-win situation, especially with PRIME, and you have a recipe for success!!
