(More customer reviews)This looked good online and while unpacking and started putting it together it looked like it was going well. When we came to putting the right side on after sliding the shelf and having the bottom and top in place, we discovered that the holes were not aligned with the openings for the screws on the top side. It was off by about .5-.75 cm. It was very frustrating because we reviewed to see if we missed something or put it together wrong somehow, but it was very straightforward the order and the order of the pieces and sides could only be one way. After debate, we decided to drill two small holes where the screws aligned and we go it in place. The only thing is that after it was together, we realized how flimsy and light this piece is. After we initially wanted to get it in the family room, we decided that it should best be kept in the basement. We are very disappointed.

Bookcase-White Review

(More customer reviews)The first thing I noticed when unpacking the pieces of this item was that there are two drawer-fronts for the center drawer - One was red and one was black. Did not exactly go with the rest of the item. The instruction manual gave no contact information for requesting replacement items. Not a big deal - they can be painted. Still, very odd. Assembly was easy.

Way Basics Eco Modular Cubes Storage and Organization Review

(More customer reviews)Frankly, at first I had doubts. But, I needed a bookshelf for a low ceiling area for a media room and I decided to go for it. I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied. I am considering buying six more of the larger ones for another project I have.
In no particular order, here are my observations:
Concept - very unique use recycled materials. I'm no greenie, but still like the concept
Fit - Very good fit with careful positioning during assembly
Weight - surprisingly light
Strength - very strong once assembled for intended use
Color - just what I expected and wanted
Versatility - great. See posted picture for an interesting variation
Price Performance - Excellent value for price paid
Customer Service - Excellent. Asked Jimmy a question about back board [it IS reversible] and had reply in hours
Assembly - fun and fast. 15 minutes accurate as posted. OK, if you are a "detail" person maybe 30 minutes
Product Packaging - when I first saw outer box, oh, oh, but, each cube is carefully packed in its own box, no problem
Delivery - usual, great Amazon Prime performance
Important assembly suggestion - put one cube together WITHOUT peeling the 3M tape. Make sure the side panels all have tape showing on the back of the cube to attach the back board. Backboard is vital piece that gives stability and strength to the cube. Note that though there are small dowels used in assembly. There is small amount of movement allowed for precise edge alignment. So, when doing final assembly be careful to line up edges as close as possible for best fit. You will understand this once you put one together without the tape and move the boards to align. This important alignment step will contribute to the final look of the cubes. Obviously, it is very difficult/impossible to make corrections once the mighty 3M tape sticks to other surface.
