(More customer reviews)I bought this because the solid maple wood matches my cabinets and I could not afford the other overpriced versions.
No directions come with this, but other than that, it's a remarkably great deal. It is solid, high quality maple and the hardware works great. It saves valuable counter space. I even tuck my glasses inside of it with my cookbook, so everything is there for me when I need it.
Mount this all the way forward on the underside of your cabinet. Also, while not required, we replaced the screws provided with 1 1/2" bolts for the part that attaches to the cabinet, countersinking the heads when drilling through the cabinet shelf above, and securing underneath with slit washers and butterfly nuts.Maple Drop Down Cook Book Shelf

(More customer reviews)I used this instead of a headboard behind my toddlers twin 'big girl' bed. She has 3 shelves to use (the 4th was below the bed frame line so it goes unused/unseen) and the front side (school locker style/depth) which has 2 slide-drawers on the bottom and a 2 shelf area behind the top door. (Knobs do come with the set) I am a single mom and put this together myself. Took me about 4 hours, if I remember correctly. It's important to look at all of the screws and parts to get familiar with them. Once you have a good handle on that, reading the instructions & building it was very easy. I am very pleased with the final look. Hope I have been helpful. :O) Good Luck

Room Divider Shelf In Black Oak Finish Review

(More customer reviews)This is a nice bookshelf for the money. It however is not solid oak which I had believed it to be. The stats said it was 150 lbs but it was only 75. The finish on the wood is dark brown to black, but it also has silver looking wood finish to give it the look of natural wood. All together it is still a nice sturdy shelf that was easy to put together, but not as nice a shelf as I would have expected.

We have an older style kitchen which was in need of a face-lift in the lighting arena, however we didn't want to spend a lot of money bringing in an electrician to hardwire under cabinet lights. These lights are just perfect! We don't have many outlets in the kitchen, so the fact these lights are battery operated made it extremely easy to install and gives a clean look without hanging wires. Don't be fooled...these are accent lights not primary lights. They will NOT illuminate your entire room but will give off a nice accent light.
We liked them so much we actually bought a few more to put throughout the house. My daughter has one in her bedroom under the shelf above her desk. It makes a perfect light for her to use while working on her computer. We also have a couple in our closets.
I am extremely happy with my purchase & highly recommend these lights as a easy lighting solution!

(More customer reviews)We bought this piece to streamline the look of our living room and I believe it's done just that. It has a modern/classic look and LOTS of storage room. So far we stored our DVD collection (~100 dvds) and the VHS's we're holding on to (~30), plus a few other random pieces (extra remotes, screen cleaning supplies etc) and there's still a TON of room for addition. For us, this was a great buy. BEWARE however, if you are not so handy (like my wonderful husband is) this takes ALOT of do it yourself, put together the million little pieces they send you in the box. I suspect that it would be easy to come out with the doors looking lopsided etc if the construction isn't done perfectly. Also, the design is slightly flawed in that there are obvious screws showing on the side where the shelves are held in place. Not a big deal-breaker for me, but thought I'd let you know.
