(More customer reviews)This desk looks nice in the picture but it had one flaw in putting it together right away. One of the Allen bolts was missing, thankfully I was able to find a replacement for it. I could not find the right bolt right away, I went went with a close fit (A little bit long).
This desk takes two people almost from start to finish to make sure everything fits together correctly. There were no words on the instruction, so sometimes it was like reading hieroglyphics.
After it was put together, it looks really nice. Need to clean it a lot. Stock on Windex or another window cleaner.

From South Shore Furniture's Gascony Collection, this beautiful hutch is designed for use with the separately purchased Gascony desk and proffers clearance for up to 21-inch computer monitors. Profiled molding adorns the top perimeter, while a vertical wood panel effect adds further sophistication to this companion piece. Both of the upper corners of the hutch contain a square storage compartment with a crystal clear glass door with a prolific frame. Each door opens with a gentle tug to the brass-finished metal handle on the bottom panel of the frame. The glass door panes allow the user to quickly identify and display the compartments' contents, whether they hold books or computer accessories. The doors also serve to protect contents from dust. Set against the hutch's back board, a book shelf stretches between the two squares, with a molded arch under its ledge for flourish. Two additional small rounded shelves rest directly below the square storage areas. The petite size and limited overhead of these units endear them to mini staplers, hole punchers, pencil sharpeners, or collectible miniatures. The Environmentally Preferred Product (EPP) certified hutch is crafted out of engineered wood and recycled fiber, with a luscious regal cherry finish. The two end panels lie flush on a desk or floor surface to support the unit. Approximately an inch elevates the back panel to enable computer cable passage when the hutch is employed with a desk. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and avoid ammonia-based cleaning products which cause damage to the finish. In addition to the desk, a matching bookcase also is available for separate purchase. I ordered this desk, but instead of Chocolate, it came in Espresso which is almost black. I was very happy that it came to be like that because it looks even better than the one in the picture. (More customer reviews)This is a case of you get what you pay for. The preassembled parts of the desk fit loosely and have gaps. The "wood grain" is a thin plastic film over particle board that arrived peeling off, and that shows scratches even from being wiped with a damp cloth. The poor-quality screws stripped out easily. The best thing about the desk was that assembly was easy, and it has nice lines. Unfortunately though, it won't last long and will need to be replaced.

However, screws were missing from the assembly packaging and it was too painful and unclear how to request another package of screws from Amazon. It's all very automated and if you get this package without the proper screws, it will be very difficult to talk to a person that can help. I ended up going to Grainger to find replacement / equivalent furniture wood screws. If you think the price is low, it is, but there is a risk that you will get what you pay: a cheap particle board desk with parts missing :(

(More customer reviews)this piece is fine, a bit heavier than we would have liked which is a bit concerning if you are planning to fill it with books once it's on the wall. one key part that it uses to hang on the wall arrived broken in half but my husband was able to salvage it. Again, this piece is fine but weight could be an issue depending on your walls. As with the coordinating desk, a cordless screw gun in a huge help for assembly as there are many pieces to join.

Two hours plus to put it together, and the instructions are a bit difficult to follow, but can be figured out. No real wood in the desk, and the drawer bottoms are cardboard, but are pretty sturdy. As long as I don't spill water in them, they should be OK. The drawers are on very smooth glides, and the assembled desk looks very nice. The package includes some extra parts and a touch-up pen. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Simple and accessible, this 31-inch high desk from South Shore Furniture's Gascony Collection adapts for all sizes of computer monitors and fits easily into most interiors. The desk provides plenty of storage under its 1-inch thick desktop. Upon facing the desk, the right side of the unit offers three storage options: an open compartment, a small utility drawer, and a file drawer. 59" Legare® Select™ Bookcase Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this bookcase based on a number of very positive reviews at both the T-store and the Wal-store websites. The instructions are simply pictures, no words; but they are very small sketches on a large page. It was hard for me and my son to see the detail of which pieces went in which direction. We finally got it assembled (it took more like 10 minutes than the advertised 3) and stood it up, and it's severely canted forward. We tried various shims and have ended up with two ping-pong paddles underneath it as shims! This is too severe. However, Legare is working with us to find out the problem.
Also, it's called a 59 x 14 x 18 bookcase, but the actual amount of shelf depth is only about 10". So this is not truly useful for what I wanted, which was a shelf inside the front door for handbags, library books, laptops and school backpacks and so on.
Rather than try and return it to Amazon I suppose we will live with it and use it for books in a different room. From now on, no buying furniture sight unseen!!

Winsome Wood Bailey Leaning Wood Desk with Shelves Review

(More customer reviews)I took one star off because there are some slight flaws in the surface of this desk. When I was putting it together, I found quite a few & was bummed. However, now that it's all put together I am having a hard time spotting the imperfections.
What I love about this is it only comes out from the wall about 2.5 feet (which is the desk surface). I have a very small work room and wanted to convert it into a workroom / guest room and needed to free up some floor space. This did the trick.
The directions are difficult only because it's not clear in the diagrams where the angles are in the rails. So take your time & think about it while you're piecing it together. Otherwise you'll be reassembling it. :) I did with the book shelves that match this & it's very frustrating.
It really does look sharp once you start putting decorations & books & computer pieces on it. Very stylish & different. I bought 2 books cases to go on either side & it looks cool.
I would recommend a keyboard tray to add to it, the desk surface has plenty of room for mouse & keyboard, but it can be a little cramped if you like to game. It's also a little high for me (I'm short!) to comfortably type. :)
All in all - it was well worth the price!
