(More customer reviews)I usually check reviews on a product before I buy, but I didn't this time so I deserve what I got, which was a cheap piece of crap & not at all worth the price.
For $35 dollars I expect more than 3 sides of paint over cheap particle board, but that's what I got--like I said, I was hasty and didn't check the product reviews.
Other reviews will confirm that this piece of junk came with improper pieces/hardware to put it together.
We had to improvise a lot of the construction of this hunk of junk; and when I say improvise I mean: getting this thing to stand on its own. I bought this as a media shelf (for video games, systems, etc.) but I would NOT put ANYTHING valuable, weighty, or potentially breakable on this shelf (another reviewer advised this gem as a yarn rack, which seems the extent of its capability).
Some words of advise for anyone in the unfortunate situation of owning this lemon:
-We used our own screws (2" dry wall screws) because the screws supplied were not the right size (way too short for the holes drilled for the dowel-and-screw set-up plan).
-The instructions tell you to attach the "feet" to bottom panel before attaching the bottom panel to the rest of the unit--but if you do it in this order, you wont be able to attach the bottom panel because the feet cover the holes necessary to attach the bottom panel.
IN SHORT: If you're looking to overpay for some cheaply made components of inferior design that may or may not come with the wrong sized screws and dowels, which if able to be assembled will surely to become an unsteady shelf unworthy of more than 5 lbs of weight, than look no further: you've found yourself a headache!
