We bought three glass door bookcases which arrived very quickly! However, this is where our pleasure ends.
What a frustrating time we are having putting these cases together! The first bookcase has 3 areas where the material chipped out when screws would not hold. Luckily the damaged area won't be seen after my husband glued them.
The second case collapsed on itself during construction tonight and my husband is even now gluing broken product chips that popped out with the screws. The second case has damages that are visible even after gluing. I would not buy it if it were sold as damaged goods.
I don't dare guess what the third case will look like. I'm cringing just thinking it is next to put together.
I believe the problem we are having is because of very inferior particle board. The filling is not tight and does not support the normal weight of parts as we assemble the case. Screws pop out so easily chipping the board around them. I don't know how the shelves will hold the books I plan to put in the cases.
12/21/10 I am updating my evaluation from one to two stars. All three cases are up and really look good. Any visible damage is hidden because the bookcases are up against each other. If someone buys this product as a single unit I would be very careful assembling it. The product damages very easily.
