(More customer reviews)This was waiting on my doorstep 2 days after order. I put it together myself and it was not difficult, although it would have been easier with a helper. It took about 20 minutes to assemble. It is a nice looking bookshelf in soft neutral wood tone. My 6 year old son enjoys looking at his books and moving them around. We are a book family so we won't outgrow this shelf. You could skip shelves and display larger coffee table type art books or magazines, I can see that we will use this for years. It is a nice place to put books that get forgotten when stacked and unseen. I have wanted one of these for a long time and I am very happy with this purchase. It's a good price for the quality. If you have beautiful books take the plunge - this item is not just for children.
We currently have it placed against the wall, but the white board and storage below are a nice second usage feature and it is light enough for an adult to easily move to take full advantage of both the back storage area and white board features. One word of warning an enthusastic toddler or two might be able to push this over if left unsupervised and this item is not pushed flush against the wall.

Teamson Kids - Children's Book Case - Frog Review

(More customer reviews)From looking at this case you would think the frogs etc. are very precisely done.
This is not the case. The painting is a bit messy but not noticeable from afar, and my son doesn't seem to mind.
He loves his own little book case.
It is just right for someone who is 3ft high.
I got this thinking it was made in the USA as everything on the Teamson web site led me to believe this, but it came labeled made in China.
The web site says their products are made with non toxic paints, so I hope that this in fact is true.
It is durable and was relatively easy to put together.

(More customer reviews)Overall, this is a nce product. My daughter (3 years old) loved it initially and she has many items on the shelves. It has hooks so you can secure it to the wall, which I really liked. Colors on the flowers, snails, and butterflies are bright. The only thing I was disappointed about is that there appears to be a backing, but the shelves are open in the back. The picture does not display an open backing. Items have already fallen behind the shelves.

(More customer reviews)I like how this one has two functions, the top section for books and the bottom section for toys; However, the bins at the bottom do not allow easy access to their contents; you have to pull them out completely to get to the contents, and my 2-yr-old does not know how to put it back afterwards; these bins are supposed to allow kids to easily take out their toys and put them back when done, this one (with the pulling of the bins in and out) may more suitable for older kids.

He had a taller shelf before that and I always worried that he would knock it over, but I have no such worries with this one. This one is the perfect height for a small child and it's absolutely adorable. It was easy to put together and I feel that it is sturdily constructed. I certainly never worry about it breaking. (More customer reviews)I had high hopes for this cute book rack for kids. But within a week one seam on the nylon fabric had split and shredded rendering 25% of the rack unusable. And, no, I didn't overload the rack. There were only 3 lightweight books in that slot. I'm not sure if it was a defect or poor quality fabric. It's not worth sending back as the shipping would amount to more than the benefit. I'll probably buy sturdier fabric and replace the nylon as the wood part of the rack seems to be ok.
