My emails to the company and to Amazon have gone unnoticed and responses have not been satisfactory. I am running an outdoor summer program at my school this summer and am looking forward to using this bookshelf outside. Can you please tell me where it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Book Display Review

(More customer reviews)This book display is much more a piece of furniture than a toy, and I was concerned that it might not seem a very 'fun' gift for a 7-year-old girl. But I combined the bookshelf with a "Hooked on Phonics" 30-book learning system, and my granddaughter has been having a ball playing 'school' with it. If you want to foster a love of books in a child, I suggest that you combine this gift with a set of age-appropriate books or a bunch of children's magazine subscriptions, and you'll have a winning gift! It is fairly easy to assemble. (I wasn't sure what Rubberwood was when I ordered it, but it is a smooth heavy durable wood.)

(More customer reviews)We are big book-lovers, so we didn't want to keep our son's books in a toy box. As a former library aide and an english tutor, I noticed children show more interest in books when they can see the front covers.
My 1yr old has always enjoyed "reading" his books, but since we got him this book display (and set it up in a corner of our living room), he is now learning to treat them better.
It was very easy to put together. I also feel it is very safe - no way to tip it over, no sharp corners. It holds nearly two dozen boardbooks of assorted sizes...I'm sure it will hold even more when we switch to paper books.
The carvings on both sides are wonderful pieces of craftmanship, and the paint colors are very pleasing to the eye. I think it is a suitable design for either a boy or girl.

Cloth Book Display Single Sided (12"D) Review

(More customer reviews)I already bought the Noah's Ark design for this type of display; we keep it in the living room (I reviewed that display in more detail). We purchased this one for our son's bedroom.
I wish the canvas came in more colors than just red, but the natural wood is beautiful. It was very easy to put together - only took a couple of minutes. It's sturdy, but light-weight. It holds all sizes of books, and can hold anywhere from 12 to 36 books depending on their size and shape.
The 1st Guidecraft book display help us teach our son to respect his books. He took such good care of them (like putting them back in the display instead of throwing them on the floor), that we have been able to introduce paperbooks to our 18 month-old, and he doesn't try to tear them apart.
I think this type of book display is more practical for children's books than a traditional bookshelf, due to shapes and sizes.

Circo Book Organizer - Natural Review

(More customer reviews)This is a small organizer which is exactly what I was looking for. Be sure to look at the measurements. It is smaller than it might appear in pictures. It sits right beside my son's bed instead of a night stand and holds just enough books for a young child to be able to enjoy and easily put away. It is really nice to be able to have the books facing out at the top. You can store more on the bottom and switch them out. Board books fit nicely with just the top peeking out, but we have mostly larger books, and they are great too. It could only be better if it were more neutral colored (though our son loves the red!) and if the pockets were wood instead of canvas. The sides have a fake wood design on them, but for book storage and display in a small area, it is just right.

Kidkraft Wooden Sling Bookcase with Primary Bins Review

(More customer reviews)It looks super cute in the kids room, and is way more sturdy than the other primary bin set that everyone has. This one doesn't wobble. It was missing a screw hole, and I had to break out the drill to fix it. But once built- it is awesome!

4-Sided Library Book Shelf Review

(More customer reviews)A very well-built and solid product. The pieces are well-sanded and smooth. We are using it in our living room. Only complaint is that the wheels are really cheap, never allowed the unit to rotate well, and collapsed after a few months because we put a lot of heavy books in it. We replaced the wheels with silicone skateboard wheels and now it looks and works really well.

Teamson Kids - Children's Book Case - Frog Review

(More customer reviews)From looking at this case you would think the frogs etc. are very precisely done.
This is not the case. The painting is a bit messy but not noticeable from afar, and my son doesn't seem to mind.
He loves his own little book case.
It is just right for someone who is 3ft high.
I got this thinking it was made in the USA as everything on the Teamson web site led me to believe this, but it came labeled made in China.
The web site says their products are made with non toxic paints, so I hope that this in fact is true.
It is durable and was relatively easy to put together.

He had a taller shelf before that and I always worried that he would knock it over, but I have no such worries with this one. This one is the perfect height for a small child and it's absolutely adorable. It was easy to put together and I feel that it is sturdily constructed. I certainly never worry about it breaking. I have to say I am overly satisfied with this product and have decided to purchase another one for a baby shower gift. The quality of the panels are heavy and durable. The espresso color is clean. The size is perfect for my son to choose his own books and see them facing out. His larger books can also fit in the storage bins. All of his books are now all in one place. I am not concerned about this falling over as it is heavy and balanced. My husband put it together and his only complaint was the poor directions. For anyone who purchases this product, the tag on the sling should be at the top of the shelf, not the bottom. hopefully this will save people time.
