We have a 2 yr old who loves to climb and explore so my husband screwed the back of the shelves right into the wall/studs. They don't budge and look perfect! Great for books and family photos! I have an old card catalog from the library and the color matches perfectly. I bought 2 shelves, one for each side of my card catalog. GREAT product!
