(More customer reviews)I won a room makeover and chose this item as a new desk for my made over office. We received this desk a few weeks ago and it was WELL packed (4 stars) although because it was so well packed it was hard to get out of the box (it ships in two boxes).
We had already put together another desk so we decided to put this desk together also. The directions were EXTREMELY hard to read (print very small) and the diagrams were hard to interpret. I did step one and decided to get a handy man to put the desk together for me. It took him 2 hours to put it togther.
It is sturdy and seems sound. The hard drive fit well but my HP printer had to be placed on the bottom shelf sideways. You need a narrow upright printer for it to fit correctly on that shelf
I would NOT buy this product again and I am real glad the money did not come out of my pocket.

The only problem I had was getting it delivered. For whatever reason, it required an adult signature so UPS would not leave it and I had to pay extra to reschedule a delivery date when I was not at work.

(More customer reviews)For the price, this is a great bookshelf. It's easy to put together. It had some minor damages, some weird discolored areas but they are not noticeable.
They were mostly on the back of the bookshelf. It might look like it doesn't hold much weight, but it actually does. I have a 32 inch plasma TV that weighs about 30 lbs on the top shelf. Overall I think this is a great product. It goes great with other espresso furniture I have.

I bought some of these to stagger around a 'double' shelf and I place nicknacks on top of some of the stacks. You do need a medium to large book to fit on the bottom. Easy to attach to wall and they are very sturdy. Pretty good deal I found on Amazon too!

I shop on Amazon all the time and am quite pleased with the quality of the merchandise, but this was awful!!!The paint was chipped in several places and it was just poor workmanship all around. The shipping material was great, so I know it didn't get damaged during shipping. I do not recommend this product.

"pyramid" Style Cherry Finish 4-tier Corner Shelf /stand Review

(More customer reviews)The shelf unit arrived in a timely manner, well packaged and undamaged . . . but "Cherry Finish" is very misleading and the customer should be told that it is not real wood, but rather some sort of MDF (fibrous pulp held together with waxes and or glues). I wanted to modify mine to place it on top of a corner desk unit and though the "wood" has a deceptively convincing "grain" pressed into its surface, when cutting it quickly becomes clear that it is not real wood. Had I known, I would not have purchased this product. MDF off gasses ureas and formaldehydes (VOC's) and having already survived cancer, we have consciously attempted to limit these toxins in our home. Also, in very low humidity environments as Southern California is prone to (Santa Ana winds of less than 10% RH) MDF will shrink and connections will become loose, when the slack is taken up and the material swells again it can split the material. It also is easily ruined if gotten wet. Like so much "cheap stuff" you find nowadays: it looks good for a while or from a distance, but you're buying a pig in a poke. Caveat Emptor.

(More customer reviews)I have their corner shelf & like it. This one however, seemed less stable & I wanted to keep a small 10 gallon fishtank on it. If you touch or bump the shelf, I fear it would fall over/apart; it isn't very stable. For lighter loads it might be ok though.
Also, the paint finish was a flat gray, not silver. The corner shelf I have of theirs therefore didn't match this one. And it appeared to me that the pieces had rusted some before being painted. The surface under much of the paint was rough.
I returned it.

(More customer reviews)A very nice quality bookcase. Pretty easy to assemble IF you read the instructions properly as there is a certain order in which the assembly has to take place. (I didn't). Very smooth, nice quality wood - pieces all joined together no problem once I figured out the proper way to assemble it. I am thinking about purchasing 2 more for a different room in my house. Only problem I had was that the plastic cover buttons that should fit over the screw holes to hide them were not the right size and would not stay in the hole provided, so I had to leave those off. It is not really that noticeable though.
