Prepac Monterey Cherry Tall Queen Platform Storage Bed with 12 Drawers Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this bed frame in a hurry because I had family visiting from abroad and my brother needs to transfer from his wheelchair to an elevated bed. The bed frame's main problem is that it is made of particle board that cannot withstand the normal pressures and stresses a bed needs to withstand. Look at the video an judge for yourself.
My suggestion is that you spend more money and buy something of higher quality that you will be happy with for years to come.

South Shore Furniture, Little Treasures Collection, Twin Mates Bed 39", Country Pine Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought this bed for my 3 year old son. It is his first "big boy bed" after using a crib, then converting that to a toddler bed. It comes in a BIG and HEAVY box. Let me stress it is VERY heavy! Packed very well also. The UPS delivery man could barley carry it. He slid it into the house and it stayed there until my husband could tackle opening it and assembly. Easy assembly. It took him an hour in a half with distractions. Decent directions. He move it into the bedroom w/o the drawers. Bed looks nice once put together. Does not creek when I lay on it too. The drawers are a bit tough to open and close. I rubbed bar soap on the tracks and this helped. Sits low to the ground with just one top mattress. We still opted to use a bed rail. Also purchased matching headboard and night stand. The bed is the only thing assembled right now. We are using a 9 inch memory foam mattress no box spring. It seems pretty firm, which is fine for a little guy. But I am thinking a box spring also may improve this. Make sure you buy a bed rail that specifies it can be used with "platform beds" it works/fits terrific. We bought this from amazon also - Dex Products Universal Safe Sleeper Bed Rail. You can view the costumer pic of it on a captains bed. So far very happy!!

South Shore Furniture Jumper Collection 39-Inch Twin-Size Mates Bed, Classic Cherry Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I just upgraded my son from a toddler bed to a big boy bed and decided to purchase this one. The storage is great for extra blankets, books, stuffed animals, etc. It also happens to be large enough and supportive enough that I did away with the box springs after purchasing this frame.
My only complaints are these: when I received it one of the boards was slightly cracked, and it's a LOT of work to put together.Finish seemed quite a bit darker than what was purchased.

Prepac Sonoma Tall Queen Platform Storage Bed, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Great looking bed! Took a little longer to assemble than estimated, but no major difficulties. You must open ALL of the boxes right away to get the parts you need for the early steps. As you work on it, you'll find that some minor modifications to the directions will make things more efficient. The finished product looks great and provides so much storage.

Maximize the floor space in the bedroom by combining the bed and the dresser into one piece of furniture. From Prepac's Sonoma bedroom collection, the tall queen-sized platform storage bed contains two rows of three drawers on each side of the bed for a total of twelve storage compartments. The 19-inch deep drawers are great for stowing sweaters, slacks, socks, extra blankets, and sheets. With its sleek black finish, the bed frame adapts to modern and more traditional décor alike.
The bed frame is crafted out of laminated composite wood with profiled MDF molding and plywood drawer sides. For even weight distribution and ample support, sturdy plywood slats run vertically under the mattress, reinforced by metal braces. Users open drawers using the discrete finger pull located on the bottom of each drawer's front. Drawers glide smoothly on metal tracks with built-in stops for safety. While the bed frame requires separate mattress purchase, the platform design removes the necessity of a box spring. A matching storage headboard and other complementary pieces are available for separate purchase. Shipped flat with foam injection packaging, the platform frame comes with all necessary hardware for adult home assembly. Wipe the platform bed clean with a damp cloth, taking care not to over-wet the MDF to prevent it from disintegrating. Do not finish or varnish the bed. For faulty parts, consumers benefit from a one-year, free part replacement program. Prepac covers this item with a 5-year limited warranty. Assembled, the queen platform bed measures 81-3/4 inches long by 63 inches wide by 27 inches high.

South Shore Furniture, Sand Castle Collection, Twin Mates Bed 39" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We ordered this bed for our little girl's 6th birthday. She was really looking forward to it! When we peeled it out of its cardboard shell, we realized that several of the weight-bearing boards were splintered in half! We called Amazon customer service only to be told that they would not accept photographic proof of the damaged item, but that we had to go out and find and buy a box big enough to hold this damaged item and then return it. I cannot lift this on my own. The pieces that were not broken are longer than I am tall. Where on Earth am I going to find a box that will fit this?
Tawny C. at Amazon.com customer service doesn't care. She was very smug and unforgiving about the broken bed and sounded highly pleased with herself when I told her that there would be no boxes big enough to hold this item. She happily told me that I could not have the item replaced or refunded, and that I was simply out the $163 that I spent on a broken piece of junk.

Prepac Monterey Cherry Tall Twin/Mates Platform Storage Bed (6-drawers) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This bed is well priced, nice looking and functional. However, while we were putting it together some peices of partical board broke off around where the screws went. Fortunatly the breaks are on the inside of the bed so they can't be seen, but it does weaken the frame. One more thing is to make sure you have a thin matress to go on the top as the head and foot boards are rather low.

(More customer reviews)We love this bed! It takes a while to put together, but totally worth it! You can't tell in the picture, but there are 4 drawers total, two on each side of the bed. The pictures on the instructions need to be looked at closely since the instructions don't say exactly what or where to places the parts, screws etc. The bed seems pretty sturdy so we think it will last for quite a while.

South Shore Furniture Logik Collection, Mate's Bed Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought this bed for our 3 year old son and didn't want to spend a fortune so this was in our budget. I opened the box and started the bed together and I realized how flimsy the material was[...]
Once I realized it wasn't worth it, I finished putting it together and set it all up. Turns out it looks pretty decent, even better than I thought.
Putting it together was very straight-foward and took about 2 hours by myself.
Anyway, if you're looking for inexpensive, faux wood, Ikea quality furniture, this one is not bad. It looks very nice though.

Phoenix Collection Queen Size Book Case Chest Bed w/Drawers Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I still love this bed...it's beautiful. One word of warning...not really warning, but be aware that because this is a platform bed with drawers, it is quite high! I am still getting used to how high it is being as I am under 5'2" ! So, I kind of feel like a little girl climbing up into and out of bed! I think I just need more time to get used to it. This would not be a good idea for someone who has trouble with their joints or mobility, though, unless they were super tall.
If I had room in my very small bedroom I'd go back and order the other bedroom pieces to match. I couldn't be happier with the quality of this bed. I researched platform beds for over a year...wanted the perfect match of lots of storage and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. This is the one!One more word- the very dark wood allows me to see dust quicker...which on one hand is annoying because I have to get out my dust rag, but on the other hand it's quite good because dust should not be allowed to gather for too long, so it's also helping me to stay on top of cleaning this bedroom.
I love my bed-I feel like a queen and it's my favorite piece of furniture in my whole home!

Manhattan Espresso Finish Headboard for Queen/Double Bed Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)For the price it is a finishing piece for an additional, not so often used bed; it looks alright once assembled which took me about an hour to do. It is what one would expect for paying the low price. The functionality of the item matches what you would need for a guest bedroom but the material wouldn't hold up for daily use I don't believe.

Copley Twin Mates Bed and Bookcase Headboard in Natural Maple Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was really looking forward to getting this bed for my 4 year old daughter to replace the full size bed with a lumpy mattress that took up a third of her room. I was given a delivery day and I stayed home to wait for it. When I checked the tracking number on that day it said that the item was damaged in transit and shipped back to sender, so it didn't even make it to my house. I called the store and asked them to ship it again right away and to make sure they package it well so this doesn't happen again. The headboard comes separately and was fine, I assembled it with a friend in about an hour. When the box finally made it to my house the packaging was completely torn to the point where all the boards could just slide out since there was no bottom. Thankfully there was no serious damage and no parts were missing. You definitely need two people for assembly and it took us 2 and a half hours to assemble and set up the bet. I loved the final look with the gorgeous sheets and comforter. The drawers are great and I fit a lot of clothes in them! The head board looks beautiful with books and soft toys, and the color is just as pictured. The bed is sturdy and though I do not allow my daughter to jump on it, I can lay down comfortably next to her to read a book at bedtime. Great buy and the best price I found for this item was at Amazon.

Queen Size White Storage Bed with Bookcase Headboard Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought the queen bed, headboard, night stand, and dresser for my teenage daughters room all for about $750 delivered which is a great price compared to the other furniture we looked at in town and online. I would consider myself handy and have a fair amount of experience with putting together furniture and I would consider these furniture items to be in the challenging-hard range for level of difficulty to put together and make it work correctly.
First of all, the bed has no good way to attach to the headboard and in fact doesn't even fit onto the headboard between the molding on the front of the headboard when it is all put together. I had to cut a notch out of each side of the molding in order for the bed to meet flush with the headboard. Secondly, I had to drill holes through the bed and the headboard and secure them with carriage bolts in order for the bed and headboard to be one solid unit, otherwise the headboard is separate from the bed and pretty unstable. Lastly, in order to keep the bed square and make it possible to open and close the drawers, I had to put a few wood screws through the slats that hold that mattress into the base of the frame to secure it. All in all, not too big of a deal if you are fairly handy, don't mind doing the extra work, and live close to a hardware store.
The night stand and dresser went up much easier.
All in all the furniture looks nice once we got it all up, functions well, and after the adjustments, is fairly sturdy. But, because it's particle board and melamine, I worry about the durability for the long term. There are a few minor scratches just from putting it together already.

South Shore Furniture, Cakao Collection, Twin Mates Bed 39", Chocolate Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought two for our twin granddaughters. The price was much better than at the department store website we checked. Assembly was pretty easy, the directions were accurate and all of the parts were there.
The beds are a little shorter than we expected - the dimensions in the bed description are accurate, we just didn't pay attention. Actually the low height is good for us since we bought these for preschoolers.
The drawer handles stick out and have caused a few scratches/bruises so we might replace them with something rounder. These beds might not last into high school, but we should at least make it through elementary school.
We would definitely choose them again.

South Shore Furniture Cosmos Collection Twin Mates Bed, Black Onyx and Charcoal Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Remember when buying this product that you are spending much less than what you would pay for a higher end product. I bought this for my three year old and so far so good. Didn't take too long to put together if you know how to follow direction. I did it by myself in about 3 hours. Bed seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that the drawers are VERY snug. Almost difficult to pull out. Fortunately I use them to store things that my son doesn't need access too. He cannot open the drawers by himself. He is a tough 3 year old and they fit too snug for him to pull out. The bed looks really nice and a big perk is the space saving drawers and the fact that you don't need a box spring for the mattress. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a child and intends on the child taking the bed with them when they move out. I do not recommend using this bed for a guest room that adults would be sleeping in.

Manhattan Headboard, Espresso Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This headboard is a great price, it's functional, and looks very stylish once it's put together. It is a spacesaver if you have a narrow bedroom like we do, which can not accomodate nightstands. Assembly is not too difficult if you have assembled something before. Some of the pieces are very fragile until they are put together. Just take it very slowly, read the instructions carefully, and get some help with the large parts. I assembled the king headboard right on top of our bed, it was the most comfortable place to do so, and then it was easy to transfer it to the floor, with help from my husband. In addition, I cut two holes in the back board as pass throughs for electrical cords, using a hole cutter on my drill. It is better to drill the holes before you tack on the back, as this will protect the thin finish better. Just hold up the back to the assembled headboard case, measure and mark where the holes are needed, and then move the back to a safe place on the floor where you can drill the holes. Drill slowly, and you will have a good result. We are very pleased with this headboard.
